We keep going back to the Jessie's Grove Vineyard for our Carignane. These ancient vines are 120 years old; planted in 1900. Carignane is a late budding and ripening grape which requires a warm climate (e.g., Lodi, CA) in order to achieve full ripeness.
Our 2019 Tempranillo from the St. Amant Vineyard in Amador County keeps our string of exceptional Tempranillo going. We love this vineyard, and our winemaker has worked his magic again to bring out the best in this lovely thick-skinned Spanish grape. This is a single-varietal wine (100% Tempranillo grapes) from a single vineyard (St. Amant Vineyard in Amador County, CA).
We keep going back to the Soucie Vineyard for our Zinfandel because it consistently produces BIG BOLD fruit that we love. We blended 2.5% Petite Sirah into this Zinfandel to give it "a base note." We call that the "subwoofer effect."
A rare grape with red skins and red flesh. Intense and smoky (think cigar box). This is a single-varietal wine (100% Alicante Bouschet grapes) from a single vineyard (Jessie's Grove Vineyard in Lodi, CA).
